The ‘Libera l’Arte’ national contest by Manini Prefabbricati returns, aimed at all Architects, Engineers, and Surveyors
Art and sustainability: an initiative to reaffirm two fundamental assets of Manini Prefabbricati in memory of Roberto Manini
Assisi, September 27, 2023
The MANINI PREFABBRICATI ‘Libera l’Arte’ contest returns in a renewed edition with new content. It was established in 2005 by the late Roberto Manini, son of founder Arnaldo, as a biennial pictorial art contest aimed at all Technical Studios of Engineers, Architects, and Surveyors across the entire national territory.
Today, the initiative lives on in his memory and is enriched for this 9th edition with new inspirations.
The first novelty: thematic contest
Libera l’Arte has chosen an inspiring theme for this edition: water, to which we all owe great respect and gratitude, as taught by Assisi’s most illustrious testimonial, Saint Francis.
#SISTERWATER is the inspiring theme of this contest, where participants are asked to develop the water theme in the form of drawings, paintings, photographs, or sculptures of real or imaginary examples.
New competition sections and new participants: increasingly inclusive
From this new edition, the contest includes three competition sections: Painting – Sculpture – Photography and the expansion of the participant pool to include all Architecture and Engineering students with artistic inclinations.
Digital Edition
The works admitted to the Competition must be received in digital format, uploaded to the dedicated reserved area on the Manini Prefabbricati website, after registration.
Participants’ works can be uploaded to the site until October 31, after which they will be evaluated by a qualified and representative jury composed as follows:
- Stefania Proietti – Mayor of Assisi and President of the Province of Perugia
- Alberto D’Atanasio – Professor of art history and semiology of non-verbal languages, appointed for aesthetics of visual languages, theory of perception, and psychology of form
- Roberto Violetti – Gallery owner
- Manuel Boccolini – CEO of Manini Prefabbricati
The prize (1 for each competition section) consists of a splendid 2-day experience stay for 2 people at the Terme di Saturnia, where they can fully enjoy the pleasures and benefits of #SISTERWATER.
The winners will be awarded during a closing event of the competition to be held in Assisi, at the company, on December 1st, during which the works will be exhibited.
Among the announced guests for the event, Manini Prefabbricati is counting on the presence of the Undersecretary to the Ministry of Culture, Prof. Vittorio Sgarbi.
‘This availability fills us with pride and strengthens our conviction of how important it is for a company to step out of its strict professional boundaries to fully participate in the socio-cultural life of its country.’ (quote Manuel Boccolini).
